Each has a Latest edition for Apple's newest chips at 1.5× the price and 1.5× the mining rate. A bigger seat costs more, mines proportionally more MLX and has a shorter lock-in.

Mined MLX unlocks after the seat's lock-in: 20 days for Nano, 14 for Lite, 10 for Core, 7 for Pro and 3 for Ultra. A dedicated seat is like a stake: it reserves your Mac's place on the network and, as paid AI jobs arrive, puts it first in line for work.

MLX Node runs AI work and earns MLX Tokens from the 3.5B MLX compute pool: a little on a free seat, 20× to 320× more with a dedicated seat of your Mac's class. You choose when and how much it works. Mined MLX is locked for 30 days from the day it's earned on a free seat, and for your seat's lock-in with a dedicated seat.
